Aba North/South Bye-election: Mascot Kalu Is The Best Candidate- Sir Adighibe (Ijere)

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and candidate of the party for Umuahia Central state constituency election in 2019 General Election, Sir Maduakolam Kenneth Adighibe (Ijere), has said that Mascot Uzor Kalu remains the best candidate for the Aba North/South house of Representatives bye-election slated for March 27, 2021.
Sir Maduakolam Kenneth Adighibe, in an interview with Newscritic online, said that even though it’s the responsibility of Aba residents to decide, who should represent them, he called on the electorates to vote for Mascot Kalu, the APC candidate.
He stressed that he is convinced that Mascot will represent the people of Aba North/South well given his antecedent and pedigree.
Speaking about 2023 governorship election, Sir Adighibe, maintained that APC taking over Abia State is not only in his hands, adding that the civil servants, pensioners and all Abians who do not like the present administration of PDP in the state must play a role to make sure that APC takes over power.
According to Sir Adighibe, the people of Abia State need change, hence everybody have a role to play to bring about the expected change in the state.
He disclosed that the membership registration and revalidation exercise of the APC went on smoothly at his Umuahia Central ward, adding that he is impressed by the turnout of people, both the new and old members for the exercise.
Sir Adighibe, explained that the success recorded at his ward has to do with his sensitization and mobilization campaign, which paid off.
“As soon as I got the information about the registration and revalidation, I didn’t leave any stone unturned by going to sensitize the people. In fact, I went beyond Umuahia Central constituency to sensitize people. So, it’s just the efforts that I put in the sensitization both in the media and house to house contact. I think it’s paying off now”.
Sir Adighibe said he wants to ensure that nobody is left out in his ward as they have demanded for more materials to complete the exercise because people rushed out to register in his ward and voting point.
