Senator T.A Orji Decries Attack On Aba Police Station, Urges Abians To Be Vigilant

The Senator Representing Abia Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Abuja, Most Distinguished Senator T. A. Orji, (Ochendo) has condemned in very strong terms, the wanton destruction of Abayi Police Station, in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area by hoodlums early Tuesday morning.
In a statement signed by the chief liason officer to Senator Orji, Hon Ifeanyi Umere, he urged every citizen to be vigilant and those who have useful information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of this dastardly act to volunteer such information to Security Agencies without delay or hesitation.

Hoodlums had at the early hours of Tuesday attacked the World Bank Police Station Abayi in Aba, killing twoo policers including an Assistant Supretendent of Police, ASP.

They thereafter burned down the Police station and carted away arms from the amoury.

Abia State government has vowed to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act, while it pledged N1m largeese for information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects. Also, the government announced the restriction of the operations of the tricycle operators in Umuahia and Aba between 7:00pm to 7:00am with effect from Tuesday February 23rd, 2021.

This attack is coming barely a month hoodlums attacked Omoba police station in Isialangwa.
