Engr Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia: Beyond The APC Membership Registration Mobilization

By NewsCritic Reporters

The All Progressives Congress, APC, membership registration and revalidation exercise is now ongoing, while the party is upbeat to capture as many members as possible to retain its towering status as the ruling party. In the South East geo-political zone, which hitherto was a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stronghold, the APC is now competing with the PDP for political dominance following the defection of Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, while APGA trails with one state to its kitty.
That’s why the leaders of the APC in the South East region are unrelenting in ensuring that there is adequate mobilisation and sensitization of the people to register and revalidate old membership enmasse. One of the APC stalwarts in Abia State driving the mobilization campaign for the registration exercise is Engr Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, the Isingwu-Umuahia born philanthropist and CEO of NoLimit Technnicks, a construction engineering firm based in Abuja.
Engr. Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia, has deployed his resources and time to mobilize and sensitize the people of Abia state, and even beyond on the importance of registering with APC in the ongoing exercise, which to him is in their best interest. He started the mobilization at his Isingwu ward level through Umuahia and the entire Abia state to help make the registration exercise in Abia a success.
He made political jingles which are still running in the various radio stations in Abia state, including on FLO Fm, Vision Africa Radio, Family Love Fm among others. Also, online newspaper advertorials were designed and placed on the various online platforms on behalf of the APC to make the registration a huge success, particularly in Abia State.
One thing that is certain is that his involvement with APC has helped strengthen and boost the fortunes of the party at Isingwu ward and Ohuhu-Umuahia, where his numerous philanthropist and humanitarian works are being appreciated by the locals.
For instance, towards the end of 2020, Engr Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia sponsored a youth football tournament in which about 13 teams participated. Not only that he procured the jersey for all the teams, he equally funded the football competition which made the soccer event attracting and interesting.
He has helped a lot of people in various ways solve their problems and does not look back when it comes to charity works. In Isingwu autonomous community, he single-handedly constructed his village (Umuda Okorocha) civic hall and also constructed and completing the central Isingwu Ultra-modern civic hall.
Again, Engr Chris Akachukwu Nwabia built a model classroom block, the first of its kind in Abia State and also embarked on the construction of a mini stadium and sports centre at Isingwu.
During the last Isingwu cultural Ekpe festival, he was at the fore front of the campaign for a peaceful Isingwu Ekpe festival. According to him, the next Ekpe festival would be better organised and packaged to deliver one of the best cultural events of our time. He said he wants to revive our culture, especially the Iri-ji (New Yam) festival which appears to be fading away.
Yet, many people do not know how Engr Chris Akachukwu Nwa-Abia got to where he is in life today. As a building Engineer of international repute, his building expertise is well appreciated by the high and mighty in the society. He is involved in big construction projects and presently has ongoing projects in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Kano. Perhaps, one of the biggest projects his company is undertaking is the new bank building project which involved building branches in at least 25 states for a start.
He described the bank project as ‘a very big one’ and thanked God for making it possible. One of his unique selling points is his flair for quality works, he says ‘sub standard works irritates me’. He is also into transportation business and has continued to expand his frontiers.
Apart from being a member of the ruling APC, he said he has no special political interest, but his people have been urging him to make himself available for an elective office, will he agree? This is the question begging for answers.
