The body of clergy men have underscored the efficacy of prayers noting that unless enthronement of righteous leaders and good governance are entrusted in the hands of God, otherwise Abia state cannot make a head come 2023.
Foundation for Africa Transformation made this submission Saturday at Aba noting that unless righteousness is enthroned in the leadership of God’s own state,Abia cannot get it right as far as righteous leaders and good governance are concerned come 2023 .
Addressing Journalists after the monthly prayers and intercession for the state and Nigeria, Chief Servant of the body, Pastor Reminder Chibike Gad noted that good leadership have eluded Abia and indeed the nation because those in leadership positions have failed to imbibe the virtues of righteousness and the fear of God. He however said that”Foundation is geared towards coming together of pastors and church under one umbrella for Abia transformation.
“That Everybody is crying in Abia state,you see corruption,you see unrighteousness,you see bad governance, the Governor may not have problem but when the structure of the foundation is destroyed,what can the righteous do”?
What we are trying to do basically is to restructure Abia state, noting that it is a shame to the society that most of today’s leaders come from church and that means that the church that produced them have failed in their responsibility.
On his part, Reverend Lekwauwa Eke, Priest in charge of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria,Umungasi parish said that the core vision of the foundation is the establishment of righteousness and enthronement of righteous leaders in Abia noting that when the righteous is on the throne,the people rejoice.
Reverend added that today’s prayer is asking God to raise leaders in Abia,that the state is number one and God’s own state,if there is a state where righteousness should prevail,where righteous leaders should emerge, Abia is number one both in Alphabetical order and as God’s own state.
Whereas, Mr Ceekay Igara,the Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council,IPAC ,Abia state chapter said what motivated him to join is as the Chairman of All Political parties in the state,what the foundation is talking about is the enthronement of good and Godly leadership.
Since they took their premise on God and they are talking about the enthronement of good leadership in Abia which is the cry of everybody ,that is the reason why IPAC is involved.
Also speaking, Reverend Augustine Ehiemere, the Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance,Abia state chapter said Apga is interested in enthronement of righteous leadership in Abia that is why he indentified with the foundation .
