The House of Assembly candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Umuahia Central Constituency seat in the 2019 General Election, Sir Kenneth Maduakolam Adighibe aka Ijere, has urged Abia politicians to imbibe the principles of politics without bitterness in their political life.
Sir Kenneth Maduakolam Adighibe, while speaking with Newscritic in Umuahia during an APC stakeholders’ sensitization meeting, said that he is an advocate of politics without bitterness, adding that that is why he has never taken any of his political opponents to court before.
The APC leader in Umuahia central constituency, stressed that politicians should learn how to play politics like a sportsman, and to accept defeat in good fate. He enjoined politicians and political opponents not to drag him to court in 2023, when he wins the Umuahia central constituency seat election, because he believes he would win.
He said that he gathered his followers and APC stakeholders in Umuahia central to tell them about the party’s registration and revalidation exercise, and to mobilise them to participate fully. Sir Adighibe called on Abia people to register massively with the APC in a bid to actualise the Igbo presidential agenda come 2023.
The APC house of assembly candidate in 2015 and 2019, further said that the insinuation that Abia APC is factionalized is not true, pointing out that the party is populated with political heavy weights, who are all qualified to lead Abia to the promise land.
Said Ijere, “I contested in 2015 and 2019, and in 2023 I am still on board. I think I have paid my dues as far as Umuahia central constituency is concerned political wise. I’ve come to stay in politics, and the difference between me and the other politicians is that I play politics without bitterness, like a sportsman. I’ve never taken any of my opponents to court before and I believe in 2023 when I win nobody should drag me to court, he submits.
