Ikpeazu Hiding In Ohafia, IPOB Leader Alleges As Ngwa Youths Warn Against Attack On Gov’s Home

By NewsCritic Reporters

Leader of The Indigenous Peoples of Biafran, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is hiding in Asaga village, Ohafia local Government Area of Abia State in the home of one chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai.

Kanu in a statement signed by him said “Our youths in Ohafia are hereby instructed to capture him alive to face trial for the numerous murders he committed, including the death of protesters yesterday in Aba. He stressed in the statement that “On no account must the governor be allowed to leave Ohafia alive. It’s an order, he declared.

However, a group that operates under the aegis of Supreme Council of Ukwa-Ngwa Youths has warned that it would not take it lightly in the event of any attack on the private residence of Governor Ikpeazu.

In a statement signed by Comrade Kelechi Nwaogwugwu, Leader,  Hon. Uzochi Ikechi, Secretary and  Comrade Ugochukwu Ubani, PRO, the group said “Our attention have been drawn to the plots and threats to attack the private residence of our Leader, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the Executive Governor of Abia State at Umuobiakwa in Obingwa Local Government Areas of Abia by the fugitive leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and his cohorts for no just reasons”.

“We, by this announcement fiercely warn Kanu and his co-travellers to retrace their steps and have a rethink as we are very formidable and adequately prepared to resist them at and all times and further take the war they are fanning to his own Afara community and hide-outs, should he and his followers dare us further.

“The ongoing attacks on the two Ukwa-Ngwa Local Government Areas, Aba North and Aba South is a clear confirmation of the ethnic war against the Ukwa-Ngwa nation, hence no government property was destroyed while the peaceful protest lasted in Umuahia, the Abia State capital and its environs.

“It is against this backdrop that we wish to state emphatically that we shall leave no stone unturned in the defence of our Land and to retaliate accordingly within the shortest possible time.

“We, therefore, warn the leadership and people of Afara community to call their son, Nnamdi Kanu and his co-travellers to immediate order to avoid a battle they cannot withstand.

Finally, we call on well-meaning Abia youths to resist the temptation of being used by the unscrupulous political elements to breach the relative peace and tranquillity existing in the State under Gov Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D.
