Umuopara Council of Ndieze has prayed to God to intervene and save Abia state, Umuahia South local government and the people of the clan in the hands of dreaded COVID19 Pandemic and other social vices ravaging the globe.
Speaking during the maiden edition of the prayers for the state,LGA and Umuopara Clan,held on Thursday,9th July,2020 at the Hannah’s Palace, Ogbodiukwu, the Chairman of Umuopara Council of Ndieze,HRM Eze Engr Wisdom Ekueku ,the Oha zuru Mee of Dim na Opara Ancient kingdom, Ogbodiukwu said that the essence of solemn Assembly is for the traditional Rulers in Umuopara Clan to pray and seek the face of God over the menace of Covid19 and other social vices affecting the Clan, LGA and State.
Eze Ekueku who hosted Umuopara leaders of thought, the top clergy men in Umuahia led by the Archbishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Chibuzo Raphael Opoko,
heartily welcomed and thank everybody, especially Bishop Vincent Chukwukadibia Onoh who coordinated the programme and other Ministers of God.
He calls for prayer to God and asking for HIS mercy, noting that If you check properly, you will notice that our State, political leaders, local governments, our great clan Umuopara and various villages appear to be under siege by forces beyond our control.
To this end, he posited that the land is protesting and the children of God are running for cover while strange sicknesses have taken over our land.
He further noted that for the first time in history, our places of worship were shut down and everybody saw it as normal.
“This is a serious cause for concern. We the traditional rulers and religious leaders can not keep quiet any more. We cannot run to Amadioha or Kamanu for protection. We can only run to the maker of man, the heavens and the earth. The almighty God Jehovah. Our coming together today is therefore to pray and ask for the face of God” Eze Ekueku said.
He however called on the religious leaders from the various communities to go close to their traditional rulers and to provide spiritual directions and guidance to them.
Açcording to him” We the traditional rulers are human. We need you as much as you need us. At the pulpit when you preach, educate our people on what government says about how to keep safe and be good citizens and remember these Traditional Rulers in your prayers.
Eze Ekueku who revealed that the Bible instructed that they should pray for their leaders urging the clergy men to pray for the Royal Fathers.
He also called them Remember the great sons of Umuopara land in their prayers they include but are not limited to the following:

Meanwhile,the Bishop of Methodist Church, Umuahia West Diocese,Bishop Vincent Chukwukabia Onoh in his brief sermon extolled Umuopara Council of traditional rulers.
