The Phase-2 of Amafor Isingwu Ohuhu Covid19 community intervention with sharing of food items, N5,000 cash to the 100 most vulnerable persons in Amafor Isingwu has been concluded.
The following items were distributed amongst the indigenes and tenants.
70 bags of rice, 16 bags of beans, 700 tubers of yam and 100 cartons of Noodles
There are other interventions (medical and 5000 Naira cash reach out to the 100 most vulnerable persons).
The admin group has painstakingly adopted a *Central sharing formula* with 7 representatives each from the 4 compounds in Amafor. The items will be shared on household-by-household basis to make sure every household in Amafor gets the items looking at the economic situation. However, the most vulnerable remains the main target.
The advantages amongst others of the sharing formula adopted are;
-that it will guarantee less crowd thereby encouraging social distancing.
-it will guarantee equitable sharing of the items amongst our people.
*WE MUST ADHERE TO WHO/NCDC COVID19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS* because this *DISEASE IS REAL*
Hence, the food Items will be bagged by the reps and distributed to the households (they have list of households). This will help us Maintain the NCDC Covid19 protocol.
Also we are inundated with reports of Covid19 spreading in communities around the globe and Ohuhu is not exempted. We hear there are atleast 2 confirmed cases in Ohuhu *So this sharing formula is timely* and the benefits are quite comforting bearing *SAFETY in mind and Making sure everyone is reached*.
