As the burial of the parents of the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, HRM Eze Israel and Ugoeze Sally Kanu get underway, the Biafran Judaists have commenced procession around Isiama- Afaraukwu home of the late paramount ruler without any interference from the detachment of Police men stationed around the area.
At the time of filing this report the Biafran Jewish religion practitioners numbering over 100 were seen clad in all black attire processing and singing Jewish religious songs. Their procession also took them to the road leading to the official quarters of the Commissioner of Police in Abia State, CP Ene Okon.
Security men who were stationed around the community did not attempt to stop tor prevent them from procession. The attire and procession is similar to those of the Islamic Shiites movement, who are usually clad in all black attire during procession or protests.
One of the striking development of the burial of the Kanu’s parents was the fact that the majority of the residents of the community have relocated to the homes of their siblings or friends away from the community, out of fear that there might be breakdown of law and order, following the CP’s warning to IPOB members to stay clear of the area.
Also, no IPOB member has been identified so far with their colour or flag unlike before, suggesting that they might have listened to the advice not to appear in the IPOB regalia at the burial. The youths of the area were also seen in groups discussing in hush tones, while there is movement in an out of the area.
The road leading to the palace of the late traditional ruler also received attention following governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s directive that the road should be reconstructed. The contractor was able to achieve over 60 per cent of the job and with drainages.
Meanwhile Nnamdi Kanu is absent and could not return for his parents’ burial, the NewsCritic reports.

detachment of Mobile Police team numbering about 100 has reportedly arrived Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
The Nation gathered that the policemen were camped at the Abia State Command Headquarters.
It was gathered that apart from the deployment of uniformed personnel of various security agencies to various flashpoints in the state capital, some plain- clothed security personnel would equally be deployed to the venue of the commendation service and Afaraukwu community.
They are to prevent any breakdown of law and order in the community and the state capital.
Our correspondent, who went round the Isiama Afaraukwu Community, spotted policemen around the community with an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) on the road leading to the Ojukwu Bunker.
Some of the village elders were seen around Nnamdi Kanu’s compound apparently to tidy things properly ahead of the burial of their monarch (HRH Eze Israel Kanu) and wife, Ugoeze Sally Meme Okwu Kanu.
Residents of Isiama Afaraukwu and some residents of Umuahia, the state capital have expressed fears over the recent tension caused by the recent comments between the police and other security outfits in the state, and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
