…as Ohahaeze calls for completion of Enugu Airport before end of December
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo world-wide has called for the completion of the Enugu International Airport rehabilitation before the end of December. The Igbo group also demanded for the dualisation of the Enugu-Markudi and Enugu-Lokoja-Abuja federal High way which are presently in bad state.
This was contained in a press release issued and signed by the spokeperson, Chuks Ibegbu. The release also said that several Igbo groups abroad will be attending the 2019 edition of the annual World Igbo Xmas Retrea . “The event will witness lectures, speeches , and other side attractions. Who is who in Igbo land are expected at the historic event organised by the World Igbo Leadership, Education and Council, WILECC.
It said the Pan Nigeria Presidency Of Igbo Extraction Coalition the umbrella body of all the groups championing the Nigeria Presidency of Igbo extraction project will be there to present a road map for the realisation of the objective, according to Chief Uche Erondu, the Director of Publicity of the group.
Meanwhile the spokesman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo world-wide Chuks Ibegbu has called for the completion of the Enugu International Airport rehabilitation before the end of December and not in April as the Minister for Aviation recently stated. Ibegbu also called for the dualisation of the Enugu -Makurdi and Enugu -Lokoja -Abuja federal highway which are presently in bad shape. He lamented the five states and ninety-five local government structure of the South East and called for immediate creation of additional states and local government areas in the zone as all past National Conferences approved.
Also the PAN NIGERIA PRESIDENCY OF IGBO EXTRACTION COALITION has appointed Mrs Nkemddirim Nnabugu based in the USA as their General Diaspora Co-ordinator to co-ordinate the group in all the continents of the world. Also appointed are Hadiza Usman as Diaspora Spoke person and Olayinka Odugbemi as Diaspora Organising Secretary. The National Co-ordinator of the Coalition Alh Aminu Muhammed charged them to discharge their duty creditably to the organisation.
