Abia: I’ll Promote Politics Of Consensus In Ohuhu Land- Obi Aguocha

The new leadership of Ohuhu Welfare Union led by High Chief Obi Aguocha has promised to encourage the politics of consensus in producing candidates that will occupy elective positions in the state, in order to reduce acrimony and bitterness as past experience has shown.

Chief Aguocha, who was elected as the new President-General of the Union in a free and credible election Monday November 11, 2019 made this known in his mission statement. He said that his administration will build the necessary alliances and network with a view to getting for the Ohuhu people what belongs to them.

He admitted that the task before the new leadership is a daunting one which needs all hands to be on the deck to achieve a common objective. According to the President-General, a committee will be inaugurated with the responsibility to collate information and develop them into implementable programmes for the welfare and development of Ohuhu and its people.

Aguocha also disclosed that in the coming weeks the Ohuhu Welfare Union will get a functional secretariat, and also convene Town Hall Meetings on how to move forward.
