Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the appointment of Mr. Anyaso Anyaso as the new Director General of the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA), effective October 3, 2019.
The appointment follows the redeployment of Sir Uchenna Dike to the office of the Head of Service for further deployment.
Until his appointment, Mr. Anyaso worked in the Radio Services Department of the BCA and was recently elected Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
His appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Barrister Chris Ezem. No reason was given for the removal of Dike.
Uchenna Dike was remove on a day a well known critic of the Ikpeazu administration, Barrister Mike Ndu featured on the BCA political programme alongside Chief PC Mba and another. His redeployment came as a surprise to many radio listeners in Abia and beyond.
