THE Abia State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia has dismissed the petition filed by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship candidate Dr Alex Otti against the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in the 2019 governorship poll for Abia State.
Delivering judgement today, the three-man panel dismissed the petition of Otti and APGA for lack of merit. Already the PDP and its supporters are in jubilation in Umuahia over the outcome of the tribunal judgement, describing it as a well-deserved victory.
The APGA and Otti are yet to make official comments on the tribunal judgement, but the body language of the APGA officials indicate that the matter might get to the court of Appeal.
