The senator representing Imo North senatorial district, senator Benjamin Uwajumogu has been sworn in as senator. Uwajumogu who has been battling the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to issue him with certificate of return following the court order directing INEC to do was sworn in today. His swearing in came after he led a one-man protest to INEC to issue him certificate of return after which the commission complied with the court order. INEC said they seized his certificate because he was not properly declared winner of the election.
