The ministerial nomination of Dr Uche Ogah, the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate for Abia in the 2019 General Election has been received with excitement in the state and beyond.
Among the early people that congratulated the APC candidate following his nomination today by Presiident Muhammadu Buhari is the commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, who took to his facebook page to congratulate Ogah
He said ‘’I wish to personally congratulate Dr Uche Sampson Ogah on his nomination as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
‘’I am confident you will work very hard to make Ndi Abia proud by attracting good quality federal projects to the state, as well as working harmoniously with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to deliver on jobs and greater dividends of democracy for our people.
‘’Time for politics is over, it is now time to work for our people, under the able leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu. I wish you well, Kalu wrote.
Also Paddy Anyataonwu another Ikpeazu aide wrote thus: ‘’congrats Dr Uche Ogah as President Buhari finds you worthy to be a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
‘’There’s no doubt that Abia state will harvest from your experience by joining forces with the Gov Okezie Ikpeazu, Ph.D led regime for the betterment of Abians. Abia is alive, he said.

Exactly 54 days after being sworn-in as President, Muhammadu Buhari sent the list of ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
This delay is not new as the President did not appoint his ministers 6 months after he was sworn-in in 2015 of his first term in office.
The delay in the submission of the ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation made the Senate to announce it would proceed on its annual recess on Friday.
The annual recess is meant to start on July 26 and resume on September 26.
In 2015, President Buhari did not appoint his ministers 6 months after he was sworn in.
