Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has dispelled rumour that he is sick and bed ridden, saying that he is fit as a fiddle and also discharging the duties of the office of governor with a lot of zeal.
There has been widespread rumour that the governor is not in good health a development that raised a lot of concerns within and outside the state. However, in a press statement signed by the chief press secretary to the governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka Esq, which was made available to News Critic, Ikpeazu said he had a busy schedule yesterday attending to official visitors who came to Government House Umuahia.
Mr Ememanka described those peddling the rumour that the governor is sick as fifth columnists and agents of destabilization, who want to make a political capital from spreading falsehood. ‘’The unfortunate news they are spreading exist only in their disjointed imaginations’’, the CPS adds.
The press release advised the good people of Abia state to completely disregard these agents of confusion and their evil machinations because they do not mean well for Abia state.
He said that Governor Ikpeazu is in perfect health condition and ready to challenge those spreading the rumour to a bout.
