Abia state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the appointment of Dr Jamike Osondu Enwereji as the Chief Medical Director of Abia Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia.
According to government house release signed by Onyebuchi Ememanka Esq, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, 49-year-old Enwereji is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where he took his MBBS Degree. He had his post graduate medical training at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu.
Enwereji holds the dual fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria.
A career civil servant, Dr Enwereji was until his recent appointment, Director, Medical Services of Abia state ministry of health.
He hails from Egbelu Owo, in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State. He is happily married with children.
In a related development Dr Ikpeazu has approved the reappointment of the last set of administrative secretaries in the 17 local government areas of the state.
He said they are to complement the newly appointed transition committee chairmen and their deputies. All those affected are directed to meet with the permanent secretary, government house Umuahia immediately for further briefing.
